Description:Responsible to monitor and work to minimize product losses on a day-to-day basis to meet all operational and divisional goals.
Duties: Ensures that the operation of all production equipment such as the aseptic processing, batching system, HTST system, and all production fillers are performing as per the manufacturer’s specifications.  Works with QA to manage activities necessary for the effective implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality plans and pre-requisite programs.  Ensures the highest standards of quality are met for these systems to ensure that all product shipped to the customer is in adherence with policy.  Proactively develop and implement new procedures and policies to maximize the efficiencies of manufacturing systems.  Plans and controls expenditures in accordance with the operating budget of the department.  Ensures that the plant is maximizing its production efficiency.  Enforces the Company’s current policies and procedures and the occupational health and safety program.  Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Technical College degree in Food Science Technology, Engineering, Automation or related discipline is required.  Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline is preferred.  Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing operation is required.  Dairy or food industry experience strongly preferred.  Strong experience and knowledge of computer software, computerized maintenance systems, and process automation systems including Rockwell Automation; Knowledge and skill in performing calibration of critical controls.  Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership skills and the ability to work in a team.  Computer literacy, ideally with MS Office (Word and Excel), and MS Access.  Project management skills and experience required.
